Download csvlite.

Making quality software costs money. Try csvlite free for 30 days with every feature. No card or account required. If it's useful to you, pay once to support this work and own the major version forever.

Releases are almost here. csvlite 1.0 for Windows and Linux is in final testing. Email us and we'll tell you the day it ships — nothing else, no list.

How the trial works

Every feature is unlocked for 30 days from first launch. When the trial ends, nothing is deleted, degraded, or watermarked. The app still opens, your files and saved views are untouched, and a license picks up exactly where you left off.

How the license works

Buy once, own csvlite 1 forever. Every 1.x update is included; future major versions are optional paid upgrades. Your license is a signed key that arrives by email — paste it into the app and you're done. It works completely offline, on all of your computers.

Which licenses does each release accept? Every csvlite 1.x release accepts every csvlite 1 (or later) license. A csvlite 2 release, when one someday exists, will need a csvlite 2 license — and every 1.x build you already have keeps working with your existing key, forever.

What you're downloading

Windows gets a portable .zip — unzip anywhere and run csvlite.exe. The binary is not code-signed (certificates cost more than a small product can justify yet), so SmartScreen may warn on first run: choose "More info" → "Run anyway". Verify the download against its published SHA-256 if you want certainty about what you're running.

Linux gets a .tar.gz with the binary, a .desktop entry, and an install.sh that sets both up under ~/.local — no root, and uninstalling is deleting the three files it prints. Running the binary straight from the extracted folder works too.

Privacy, mechanically

There is no network code in the app — no telemetry, no activation call, no update check. "Check for updates" simply opens this page in your browser. That is why the download page has to tell you what each release accepts: the app itself can only check a license after you have the build.
